House system:

At St. Leonard’s, each pupil and teacher are a member of one of our three house teams:

  • Sycamore – Yellow – Led by Owls’ staff
  • Oak – Blue – Led by Hedgehogs’ staff
  • Holly – Green – Led by Foxes’ staff

Rewards

For each ‘leaf token’ earned, the children put a coloured token (the colour of their team) in a jar in their classroom.

Each week, the tokens in each jar are counted and 3 leaves are awarded to the team with the most tokens, 2 leaves for 2nd place and 1 leaf for 3rd place.

These leaves are awarded during celebration assembly and the house captains place the leaves on to their team tree in the school hall.

At the end of each term, the team with the most leaves chooses a reward; rewards are chosen by the whole of the winning team and can include non-inform days or bring a teddy to school day.

House Captains 2024 – 2025

Our captains are voted in by their team each year. They agree to take responsibility to be role models to their teams. They are also involved in leading team events and planning team activities throughout the school year.

Fundraising for Charity

House of Bread

Children in team Sycamore were over the moon with the support shown for their charity day.  Thanks to your donations of books and then buying at the book sale we are pleased to announce a total sum of £80.00 was raised for their chosen charity The House of Bread.

Staffordshire Retired Police Dogs

We welcomed Hayley from Staffordshire Retired Police Dogs Charity. During a special assembly Archie, Head of team Holly, formally handed over £103.00 which we raised last term during our first charity day.  Hayley told us how the money will be used to give these retired dogs a more comfortable life.
