About us

St Leonard's is a small church school situated in the small village of Dunston, Stafford.  The school was built in 1862 and has had several extensions over the years and now compromises of a main building and two mobiles which has classes from Nursery through to Year 4.  We also have excellent links with Penkridge and Brewood Middle Schools to ensure continuity of education for all our children.  The school prides itself that it is very much part of the community and links with St Leonard's church are strong.  The school draws from a wide catchment area and all are welcome.

In 2017, St Leonard's became part of the Trinity Federation with All Saints (Bednall) and St Michael's (Penkridge)  with Mrs Parton being the Executive Headteacher of both All Saints and St Leonard's in January 2019.

At St Leonard's we are very proud of all we have to offer our pupils; we recognise and value the unique contribution that every child and their family brings to our school community, we expect our children to achieve a high standard across all areas of the curriculum and hope that you will encourage your child to contribute to the life of the school and to take part in the many opportunities that we have to offer.  The school has a strong Christian ethos, although understanding and tolerance of other religions are taught.

In May 2018 our last Ofsted inspection judged the school to be 'Good'.
