The School Governors are a group of people who make decisions about how our school is run. They have legal duties, powers and responsibilities and meet in school at least once a term.
Governors are appointed to help:
· Decide what is taught
· Set standards of behaviour
· Interview and select staff
· Make decisions regarding the budget
School Governors are:
· Parents
· Members of the Church
· Local Education Authority Representatives
· Community representatives
· Teachers at the school

Governors have equal voting rights and equal status in the work of the Governing Body.
The minutes of the Governor’s meetings are kept in school for anyone to read. Each
year a School Profile is produced by the Governors and Head Teacher. Parents may
