If your child is absent from school it is good practice to inform the school by telephone on the first day of absence. This should be followed up by further call/s if your child remains absent from school and written confirmation upon their return.
When children are unwell, parents are asked not to send them to school. If your child becomes unwell during school time we will contact you on the emergency contact you have nominated. Please keep us up to date with any changes in emergency contact numbers. It is appreciated if staff are kept informed of any problems or unusual circumstances relating to your child. Information will be dealt with sensitively and with discretion.
Children should not bring medicines to school unless it is absolutely necessary.
Advice from the School Nurse and the LEA is that medicine needing to be taken three
times a day can be taken before school, after school and at bedtime. Medicine that
