Activities which arise from the children’s work or which are planned as integral parts of the curriculum sometimes have costs attached to them. Charging for such activities is prohibited, however the School Governors have decided that in such cases a donation will be requested from parents to cover costs. On these occasions therefore we will suggest an amount for a voluntary contribution and hope that parents will feel able to donate. Donations are not expected from parents in receipt of income support or family credit. Where insufficient donations are received it may be necessary for that visit to be cancelled. Where pupils, whose parents are in receipt of income support or family credit, go on residential trips or hire musical instruments from the County Music Service, the normal charges will be reduced.
